11/03/2009 What can I say today was dreamy. We had light winds semi smooth waters a casual departure high sun blue bird skies and whacking nice fat Bass on topwater. We had good solid fishing the entire trip today, 1/2 on top water and 1/2 using subsurface techniques. The first 2 hours we spent hitting Bass on top before things shut down. They all were very healthy ranging in size from 33" to 22" and laid up in the shallows (14 inches/- of water in their usual Fall time haunts. The remainder of the day we worked a bit deeper water picking off Bass holding on shallow water structure and kept a steady flow until the winds kicked up at the end of our trip. In all for the day 7 Bass, missed 10 others.
