11/06/2009 Do your homework and be rewarded. If you listed to the weatherman today, noaa, or weather channel you would have seen gale wind warnings 30-40 knts today.... so what does that mean to me. Lets go fishing. We pushed off from the dock into the teethe of that forecast but the fact was it was blowing 15-20 and would lay down by sundown and the water was looking good. We started the trip out with a quick hit and run to de-skunk the boat and we did just that as it was only a few casts in to the area and we hooked up with our fist Bass of the day. This brute who was laid up in 2 feet of water smashed the lure and decided he was headed for deeper waters and hid did just that with a steady scream of drag and a few minutes later we had this beautiful 33" specimen boatside. We where off to a great start and would to keep up that pace for the remainder of the session. Interestingly enough mother nature seemed to have a 1 Bass quota per spot today until our last area of the day when we locked into a nice group of Bass holding in a smaller body of water picking up 3 additional bass giving us 6 Bass for the day.
